Roller Rotation Inspection and Lubrication
Regularly (weekly recommended) manually rotate all rollers to check for jamming, abnormal noises, or poor rotation. If jamming occurs, promptly clean dust, debris, and oil from the roller shaft ends. If necessary, disassemble and inspect the bearings for wear or corrosion.
Regularly lubricate the bearings or bushings at the roller shaft ends, selecting the appropriate lubricant based on the operating environment: lithium-based grease can be used in dry, dust-free workshops; waterproof grease is recommended for humid or dusty environments. The lubrication cycle is generally 1-3 months. Avoid over-lubrication, which can cause oil to attract impurities.
Support and Fastener Tightening
Inspect the fasteners (bolts, nuts, clips, etc.) of the conveyor frame, legs, roller supports, and other structural components to prevent loosening due to cargo impact or long-term vibration. Especially for heavy-load or frequently started/stopped stations, it is recommended to tighten them monthly to prevent support deformation and uneven roller spacing.
Check the frame for deformation and corrosion. If paint peeling or rust is found, promptly repaint to prevent rust and maintain structural strength.
Foreign Object Removal and Conveyor Channel Unblocking
Clean debris such as cardboard scraps, plastic fragments, small metal parts, and wood chips from between and on the rollers daily to prevent them from getting stuck and causing the rollers to malfunction or scratch the bottom of the goods.
Inspect the conveyor's inlet, outlet, and side guide rails to ensure there are no protrusions or deformations to prevent goods from shifting or getting stuck during transport.
Timely Replacement of Wearing Parts
Regularly inspect the wear condition of the roller surfaces. If rollers show severe wear, uneven surfaces, or peeling rubber layers, replace them immediately to prevent shaking and shifting of goods during transport due to uneven roller surfaces.
Replace rollers with aged or damaged shaft end seals promptly to prevent dust and moisture from entering the bearings and causing damage.
Specialized Maintenance for Specific Environments
For use in humid, dusty, and highly corrosive industrial environments (such as chemical workshops and building material warehouses), the maintenance cycle should be shortened, and the frequency of cleaning and lubrication increased. A rust-proof and corrosion-resistant coating can also be applied to the roller surface.
For use in industries with high cleanliness requirements, such as food and pharmaceuticals, food-grade lubricants should be used, and the roller surface should be disinfected and cleaned regularly to prevent contamination of goods.
