Drilling & Sorting Integrated Production Line

Project Overview:
This project is specifically designed for panel furniture manufacturers focused on batch-one and mass-customized production. It covers two core automation scenarios, balancing high-efficiency, end-to-end operations with effective cost control.

Automated Batch Processing Line:

The batch processing section operates through a fully synchronized automated workflow:

  • Industrial robots perform full-layer gripping for automatic loading
  • Panels are separated and fed individually by a panel separating machine
  • A double-end edge banding machine completes edge banding on both short sides
  • Panels are routed via two parallel paths to drilling machines for efficient drilling
  • A panel assembling (grouping) machine organizes panels into sets
  • Robots grip each completed set and carry out automatic palletizing

This configuration enables standardized, unmanned operation from loading to palletizing.

Drilling + Robotic Sorting + Packaging Line:

The drilling and sorting section is equipped with:

  • 3 dual-station six-side drilling machines
  • 1 single-station six-side drilling machine

After drilling, panels are accurately sorted by a robotic sorting system. Panels are then manually stacked into packages, with package information scanned and transmitted to a carton cutting machine to produce customized cartons. Following manual carton feeding, corner protectors, and packaging materials placement, cartons are sealed by a carton sealing machine, and manually palletized to complete the full packaging workflow.

Core Equipment Configuration:

The project integrates a comprehensive automation system, including:

  • Six-side drilling integrated lines
  • Robotic sorting systems
  • Packaging systems
  • Panel separating machines
  • Double-end edge banding machines
  • Panel assembling machines

This solution significantly reduces labor intensity while delivering capacity improvement, cost reduction, and improved working conditions. It is well-suited for large-scale, automated panel furniture production and supports rapid return on investment.
